Hello all the beauties out there!

Today I’m back with another DIY. This one’s for scalp detox. I have oily scalp with dry, frizz prone hair. I have been looking for home remedies lately to detoxify my scalp because no shampoo gives me that desired result unless I wash my hair literally everyday. Even after using scalp purifying shampoos my scalp just becomes greasy the very next day. So I tried out this small trick one day and OMG!!! The results were amazing😍. My scalp was squeaky clean. Also I did not feel the greasiness for two whole days👍. So if you are someone with oily scalp and dry hair this will help you a lot.

Ingredients

  1. Fullers Earth (clay) – 1 tsp
  2. Honey – 1 tbsp
  3. Water – as required
  4. Any Regular Shampoo (optional) – a coin sized amount

Now the clay, honey and water mixture is not going to lather up so if you feel like adding some lathering agent is a must for you then simply add some store bought shampoo. Only a little bit of it will be enough.

Apply this mixture on wet hair. Massage your scalp using circular motion for a few minutes and let it sit for another few minutes. Then simply wash your hair with regular cold water. Follow this up with a conditioner. Remember, conditioning is always a must for dry, frizz prone hair.

Benefits

This DIY clay shampoo is enriched with the goodness of clay and honey. Fuller’s earth (multani mitti) is a well known grease cleanser. It is widely used in India to make face packs for oily skin. Well this can be used to clean up the scalp too. Thanks to its super absorption property. Clay absorbs even the last bit of grease, oil, dirt, impurity from the scalp without drying out the hair strands. Honey on the other hand is an incredible moisturising ingredient which adds shine to the dry hair and makes your tresses soft, healthy looking and manageable. Together they detoxify the oily scalp and control frizz like any luxury brand product would do.
